When a Kroger employee named Nathaniel took the time to help a Kentucky grandma, she wanted to make sure he got the recognition he deserved. So, she dropped a note with her feedback, which left everyone in stitches. And once someone posted the grandma’s grocery store comment card online, it went viral in no time!

Our Southern granny was having a late night craving for some yogurt covered cranberries. So, she decided to zip in to Kroger and pick some up.
That’s where she met Nathaniel Hunter. The young man kindly offered to help Grandma find the snack she was craving. And his patient attentiveness made quite the impression on her.
After all, kids these days so rarely respect their elders as they should. The evidence can be found in the grandma’s grocery store comment card, where she hilariously explained just why Nathaniel’s kindness meant so much to her.
Her note started out:
“I was having one of those late night cravings, you know how it is. Anyways, I was craving yogurt covered cranberries and I just could not wait till [sic] the next day. I entered the store and was looking for them. I met a fine young man named Nathaniel Hunter. I asked him if he could direct me to the item I so desired this evening. Instead of mearly [sic] pointing me in the direction he walked me over to the trail mix machines.”

Technology is supposed to make our lives easier. But some times, it seems like the “improvements” just complicate things (don’t even get me started on self-checkouts). So, hearing this granny talk about the “darn contraptions” at the grocery store had me yelling AMEN!
She says:
“He then helped me navigate those darn contraptions. He even put in the number so I could print out my barcode. I have trouble with all this new technology and it is nice to know that there are bright young people out there that will stop and help an old lady like me.”

But it was the lighthearted roasting of her grandson that made this grandma’s grocery store comment card such a hit.

She goes on to say:
“As I was leaving the store I couldn’t help but wish my own grandson could be more like Nathaniel. I know that’s terrible of me to say as a grandmother. Don’t get me wrong, I love my Tyler to death, but he is so rude to me sometimes. Whenever I ask for computer help he just tells me to google it. He dresses in all black and it really disturbs me. His mother says it’s only a phase, [sic] I hope so. Perhaps I’ll see Nathaniel again and I can ask him to be friends with Tyler so that he has a good influence.”
The grandma’s grocery store comment card became an instant hit at Kroger. The store put it on display as the “Customer Comment Of The Week.”

A Reddit user took a photo, sharing the entertaining note on the social media site. And from there, it went viral!
This sassy granny’s note has everybody quite tickled. Well, everyone minus Tyler, that is. Pray for Tyler, y’all!
