Catfish are incredible. They’re really a lot of fun to catch and tremendous to eat. The amazing thing to me about catfish is how well they can live out of water. They somehow can hold on for hours and still be just fine when pretty much any other fish would be long gone.
When Jesus talks about holding on to our lives, He’s not talking about breathing. He means clinging to the old sinful life we lived before we met Him. Take a little inventory of the ways you are not Christ like. Anger, greed, lying, stealing, bad attitude, not tithing, pornography, sexual sin–the list could go on and on, but you get the picture. Now, start cleaning house.
