First Grade Teacher Stuns Everyone On The Last Day Of School
ShaRee Castlebury wanted to make sure the last day of school was one her students would never forget. And the idea the first grade teacher from Oklahoma came up with has everyone talking!
Along with a heart for her students, God gifted this first grade teacher with plenty of creativity, which she put to use in a special way. ShaRee surprised her students one day when she showed up to school carrying a solid white dress and fabric markers. The class assignment — each student was to help decorate the dress.
A Dress To Remember
Students let their imaginations flourish, covering the blank, white space with rainbows, butterflies, kites and all sorts of cheery scenery!
After transforming the plain dress into a beautiful work of art, ShaRee had each student sign their name on the back.
And the best part came when ShaRee wore the masterpiece to school on the last day of school!
The Facebook post in which she unveiled the finished dress has been circulating like wildfire.

And it’s not just because the dress was such a clever idea, but also because of the special bond it represents between the first grade teacher and her class. It’s something ShaRee hold dears, saying in a follow-up post:
"So blessed to be a teacher. I hope each year my kids always know how loved and cherished they are by me...they become part of my family without even realizing how much they touch me on an hourly basis."
And the project meant so much to ShaRee and her class, she’s decided to make it an annual tradition. It’s certain to be treasured childhood memory for all of her students!
