Heroine addictions are tragically taking over our country. Time and time again we hear tragic stories of those who lose their battle with the addiction and overdose. So it is so important to share stories of those who get help, get clean, and go on to live healthy fulfilled lives. And Jennifer Jenson has one of those stories.
Jennifer’s story doesn’t start happy. Her addiction to drugs lead to her getting arrested and having to spend time on probation. When she was 8 months pregnant Jennifer broke her probation and found herself in court. Judge Chris Wilton heard her case. The judge could’ve thrown the book at her, but he saw something in her that gave him hope for her future.
So, he decided to give her a lesser sentence and made sure she went to treatment after the baby was born. This was just the push that Jennifer needed to get clean. She ended her heroin addiction and made so much progress during rehab that 2 years later, she was off probation.
Jennifer got her life pointed in the right direction and that’s when she met Bill. When the two decided to get married Jennifer knew just the person to officiate the ceremony, Judge Wilton the man who gave her a second chance.
Judge Wilton gladly accepted her request and took part in the big day. It’s so amazing to see how Jennifer was able to turn her life around and give thanks to the people that helped her along the way. What an amazing story!
