How The Years Have Flown!
Proverbs 16:31 tells us that gray hair is a crown of glory. It comes after a life well lived. And while that may be true, have you ever noticed just how quickly life flies by? So fast indeed, that sometimes remembering just how many years have passed can be startling. Tom Hussey is a photographer who is winning all kinds of awards for the photo series he's created based on that exact feeling called "Reflections Of The Past."
He got the idea after chatting with an 80-year-old WWII veteran, who said he still felt like he'd just gotten back from the war. In the series, Tom's older subjects look into the mirror to see a reflection of their younger selves, reminiscing on the roles and purposes they've had during their lives. The beautiful photos really take me back to a simpler time and serve to accentuate the years that help to earn that gray haired crown of glory!
Take some time to reminisce with some of the photos from Tom's series:
These pictures do a beautiful job of capturing the fact that you’re only as old as you feel. Each day is a true blessing from God, for us to use for his glory. And while our time on earth may be fleeting, the treasure he promises after this life will endure forever!
“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” 2 Corinthians 4:17
