14-year-old Leah loved singing Pink songs with her mom and couldn’t wait to attend an upcoming concert with her. But then her mom died. And when the rockstar found this out in the middle of the show, Pink stopped her concert to comfort the grieving fan!
It's never easy losing a loved one, especially when you are just a teen or baby. 14-year-old Leah was very close with her mom, Debbie. In fact, the two were looking forward to going to see Pink, one of Leah's favorite artists, together in concert.
Leah and her mother sang Pink songs all the time together. So they were both so excited to see a live show. They purchased tickets for an upcoming show in Australia but sadly, Debbie passed away in June. It left Leah completely heartbroken.
That's when Leah's aunt decided to step in and accompany her niece to the concert.
Before they arrived, Leah wanted to make a sign, in hopes that Pink would see it. The sign read:
"My name is Leah – I'm 14 years old. I lost my beautiful Mom last month. I would LOVE a hug... Please!"
During the show, Pink spotted the teen in the crowd and her sign. That’s when she stopped her entire show.
Pink read the sign to the audience and immediately walked through the mass of fans to reach Leah. They embraced in the sweetest hug and you can see the tears streaming down Leah's face.
The special moment meant so much to this young girl.
“She is so heartbroken. But since the concert, she hasn’t stopped smiling and singing,” her aunt said.
Pink's music was something that brought Leah and her mother together. And now it's continuing to bring Leah good memories. It's so amazing that a huge superstar like Pink is able to take the time to be there when her fans need her!
