Pep rallies are always a fun way to spread some school spirit. And I don't know about you but when I was in high school, pep rally days were my favorite days. You'd walk into the gym with the band playing popular music of the time and the cheerleaders were dancing away ready to lead everyone in a cheer. It even seemed like the teachers and administrators were in a better mood and were ready for fun!
Well when teachers at Whitmer High School were planning their pep rally they thought the students would enjoy one big surprise. So they got together and planned a flash mob! They choreographed a special dance and got together to practice and practice. They even got the school mascot the panther in on the action.
Finally, the day came and the teachers were ready! The principal was getting things started with a few words to the students when one of the teachers ran up to him and dragged him over to the sidelines. As she approached the center of the gym floor the music started and this teacher started to bust a move. Other teachers quickly joined in as the song went on.
One by one they joined the group and started jamming out to the very same choreography! You can hear the students going wild as their teachers started the coolest flash mob. I was already loving this flash mob, and just when I thought things couldn't get any better this flash mob turned into a soul train.
Some of these teachers have got some serious moves. I mean just check out the guy doing the worm. He's crazy talented. And man that looks exhausting! They even got their resource officer to join in. What a fun way to get the kids in the spirit. And good for these teachers for not taking themselves too seriously. Who else had to smile?
