If you look in the Bible, getting older is shown as a blessing. In fact, gray hair is considered a crown of glory (Proverbs 16:31). But somewhere along the lines, our society has started to view aging as a bad thing. Getting older means you can’t have any fun, right? Wrong!
And here are 14 photos that prove it!
Getting older doesn't mean you can't still jet ski like a champ...
Or race like a champ...
Or roller blade like a champ, for that matter!
Don't go hanging up your favorite pair of sneakers, either.
And make sure you hang on to that bathing suit! Graham, here, is 82 years old and still participates in swim races. In his downtime, he'll go for a leisurely open water swim across the Straits of Gibraltar or from the Hawaiian island of Lanai to Maui.
Got spirit? Love sequins? Then you could make a great senior cheerleader. All of the members of the Arizona-based Sun City Poms are over 55 (though most of the members are much more mature than that) and they can high kick and hit the splits with the best of them!
But hey, not all of us are athletes. A good time can come in all different forms.
Like proving "kiddie" rides aren't actually just for kiddies.
Nor is the playground.
You know what is for kids? Curfew. Don't let the Early Bird Special fool you. Getting older doesn't mean you can't dance the night away...
Or even game the night away, if that's your thing.
With the right attitude, the sky is the limit!
So remember, age really is just a number. The key to aging gracefully is to keep having fun...
To keep smiling…
And to keep on laughing!
