Jamie Goodwin was in a terrible car accident 21 years ago that left her paralyzed. But never one to accept defeat Jamie was determined to inspire others. And that’s exactly what she did with one simple and incredible Facebook post.
As most of you know Thursday’s on Facebook are a constant stream of oldie but goodie photos that people have dug up from their past. And they all bear the label “Throwback Thursday”.
In her typical positive attitude, Jamie posted the following picture with the caption It’s been 21 years since I stood on my feet (and wore a sparkly dress). October 9 will always be a special day for me to celebrate and remember. If you are able, take a moment to wiggle your toes for me.”

There is something so beautiful and simple about the post. It spread so much joy to friends and family. And from now on whenever I wiggle my toes I’ll think of Jamie, and the gift God gave her for spreading joy to everyone she meets!
