Ballroom Dancing Duo Defies Odds By Dancing With A Wheelchair

This ballroom dancing duo brings a whole new meaning to what it means to have a disability. They use their wheelchairs to dance and it is so beautiful.

Marisa grew up as an amazing dancer. But in her senior year of college, she suddenly because paralyzed from the neck down. She was diagnosed with a rare stroke that affected her spinal cord and was told that she may never be able to walk or dance again.

But in just two months, she regained most of her mobility again. Throughout her journey to recovery, Marisa discovered wheelchair dancing. She was inspired to give people who went through the same thing she did a place to be included. So, she started her dance company, Infinite Flow.

Infinite Flow is an inclusive dance company that believes every person has a dancer inside of them, including people who may have a disability. What Marisa has done is so incredible! So many people who are apart of this dance company have learned how to dance without feeling restricted by their wheelchairs.

Her students perform the most beautiful dances that surpass limits that society has placed on them. It is so amazing at how having a disability does not stop them from being able to reach their full potential as dancers. Marisa and her students have mastered being able to perform the most difficult dance routines.

And they dance with such elegance and strength. I have never seen anything quite like it. You have got to see it! And it sure will leave you in awe.
