A lot of planning goes into weddings. From the flowers, dress, venue all the way down to the toasts. For the father of the bride, the speech is the biggest moment after he walks his baby girl down the aisle. At Lisa and Rob’s wedding, Lisa’s dad took serious time to think out what he wanted to say to his daughter and new son-in-law.

This dad thought back to his wedding to Lisa mom when his father-in-law sang to the happy new couple. And he knew he wanted to do something special like that for Lisa. So he got ready for his musical toast. This father of the bride picked the song, the Elton John classic ‘Your Song’, and began working on his own original lyrics.

When the wedding day came he was ready to shower his daughter and son-in-law with love. So as it came time for this dad’s toast he walked up front and cued the DJ. As he started to play ‘Your Song’ it was clear the whole wedding knew something beautiful was about to happen. That’s when this father of the bride bravely began to sing, something he had never done before in public.

As he sings the wedding guests can’t help but ooh and ah. And his beautiful daughter Lisa can’t just sit in her seat and watch. She simply had to get up and give her dad a big hug. What a beautiful and unique way he chose to share his well wishes for the new couple. And it is no wonder that everyone was in tears. Who else truly loved this toast?
