Heathrow airport is the central hub for all holiday travelers flying in and out of London. Every holiday season, Heathrow releases a beautiful Christmas ad featuring an airport passengers journey to be home for the holidays.
This year, their creative team came up with an amazing idea to have the story centered around a family of teddy bears. The story starts with a teddy bear meeting his true love on an airplane in 1967. He is a businessman and she is a flight attendant.

The couple instantly becomes inseparable and gets married. Things fast forward to 1977 when they have children. Whether he’s on a business trip or she’s working, through the years the couple still manages to always greet each other at the airport gates. Their love for one another only deepens as the years go by.

Then 1987, they greet each other and this time they have two young kids. After that, the clock turns to 1997 with the whole family greeting each other. During this clip, the bear kids are now teenagers. Next, in 2007 the children are now adults and they are greeting their dad alongside their mom at the airport.

Finally, the video ends with the father getting back from a business trip and looking really sad. He seems to be thinking that no one will be at the airport waiting for him. But, what he doesn’t know is that his wife, kids, and grandchildren all surprised him and were standing at the gate waiting for him.

What a beautiful story about families coming together during the holidays. In this case, distance truly makes this bear families hearts grow fonder. No matter how many years have passed, they still manage to hold true to their tradition of being together during the holidays. What an amazing example of family commitment.
