Every now and again someone decides to perform a social experiment to see how everyday people react to different situations. Sometimes the results of these experiments break my heart, but most of the time they bring out the best in people. And that's exactly what this one did. This young man decided to see how strangers would react if he asked for their help.

So he went to a busy bus stop and decided to ask strangers if they would help him by tying his tie for a big job interview. He had no idea what their reactions would be, but with help from his friends they set up a camera and waited. The first man he approached was clearly in a hurry and honestly I did not think he would help. But as soon as he realized why this young man approached him he was happy to help.

Time and time again he approached people and they happily helped. As he told them he was headed off to a big job interview many of them offered him well wishes as they tied his tie. Many of them went above and beyond to make this young man feel comfortable, but one woman's kindness truly takes the cake. As she got close to him to help with his tie she noticed that he wasn't wearing an undershirt and this adorable woman went into full fledged mom mode.

She worried about how cold he was going to be on such a freezing day. And when she felt how cold his hands were she refused to let him go without taking her hand warmer. As she held his hands to warm them up she gave him a pep-talk about how hard his generation has it and how he needed to keep up his confidence.

Her kindness and encouragement went way beyond what was required. And it truly inspired me to show a little extra kindness today. Who's with me?
