Actress Kaley Cuoco Is Cautioning Others About The Plant That Nearly Took Her Pup’s Life

Hollywood actress Kaley Cuoco is imploring dog owners to take care of their furry, four-legged best friends, particularly putting out a warning about the dangers of a plant.

Animals are lovely creatures, specifically designed and placed on earth by the same God responsible for the universe. All pet owners want the best for their animals. No one wants to see them suffer or be in pain. So, whenever they do happen to experience any kind of discomfort, it's heartbreaking to see. That's double true when what ailing them is a mystery.

That was exactly what happened recently to The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco, which is why she is sounding the alarm on foxtails. On Instagram, Kaley documented the scary health saga of her beloved pet, King, according to Insider.

The outlet reports that in a story on the popular social media site, Kaley included a photo of a foxtail with a message for "all dog lovers out there."

"This is a foxtail. They are extremely dangerous to animals esp dogs.. we spent the last 2 months trying to figure out what was wrong with our King," her message read.

The Flight Attendant actress added, "He had been violently ill and nothing was working. Many vet appts, surgery and endless meds. Finally found a specialist who found 2 of these in his body days away from piercing his heart!!"

Kaley Said Her Dog Underwent “A Super Intense Surgery”

People reports that in two follow-up posts on Instagram, Kaley displayed pictures of King on the mend following "a super intense surgery." In one of the posts, Kaley advised those with pets to "take care of your pets or don't have one!"

"Foxtails are a weed-type grass that can cause serious problems for dogs," according to PetMD. The site goes on to point out that the seeds from these plants can "attach to your pet's coat and burrow into the skin, this can lead to pain, infection, and sometimes more serious issues."
