Brother And Sister Plan Incredible Musical Surprise For Their Dad

There is something so special about kids that decide to do something special for their parents. This brother and sister surprise their dad who is battling cancer with the most incredible musical tribute.

Christian and his dad both have a rare genetic disease called Li-Fraumeni Syndrome also known as the ‘ticking time-bomb' syndrome because it makes people more susceptible to cancer. So when their dad was diagnosed with cancer they thought they had caught it early. Sadly it had already spread too quickly and the battle for his life began.

One day Christian and his sister Kate were thinking of ways that they could surprise their dad and say ‘thank you' when they came up with the perfect plan. The siblings both really love the song ‘Seven Years' by Lukas Graham and the message of the song talks about advice that Lukas' dad gave him growing up.

So the siblings took the song and changed up the lyrics to match some of the great advice their dad has given them. But they didn't just want to sit in the living room and play the song for him.

So, they called a local band that often plays in parks in Baton Rouge and asked for their help. Of course when the band heard Christian and Kate's story they agreed to help. Kate practiced the song with the band to get ready for the big surprise.

Christian and Kate organized worked it out so that they would be walking with their dad downtown at just the right time and would stop to listen to the band. The band would invite Kate up to sing and as she sang their dad's friends would surround him in a show of love and support.

Finally the day came and they headed out on their walk and things went perfectly from there. Their dad was completely oblivious to the emotional surprise he was about to receive. The band stopped and the lead singer complained of vocal strain and asked Kate to come sing the next song to give him a break.

That's when this sweet and talented little girl stepped up. And you've got to see this dad's face as he watches in amazement and hears the words his daughter is singing just for him. And when his friends show up, this dad can't hold back the tears.

What an incredible way to say ‘I love you'. Oh mercy get your tissues ready for this one!
