There are a lot of incredible police officers who truly go above and beyond to serve and protect. And recently one police officer took the idea to serving to another level. A little while back Mansfield police in the UK police got a call about a robbery at the home of a 93-year-old man.

After taking care of the paper work and making sure he was okay the officers wanted to go back to check on the kind elderly man. So they headed back to visit and see how he was feeling. The officers sat with the gentleman for a while and just talked. They swapped stories and learned more about him than they could at the time of the robbery. They learned all about his time as a pilot in World War Two, and heard all about his beautiful wife who he sadly lost a few years ago.

While they were sitting with this incredible man one of the officers noticed that in the living room he had a piano. Being a passionate piano player this officer couldn't help but take some time to tickle the ivories. He noticed that the music was open to a song by the composer Chopin called Nocturne. The piece had been the favorite song of the police officer's grandfather so he was very familiar with the tune.

He sat and started to play and thankfully one of his brothers in blue pulled out his phone and started to record. This officer's talent is incredible, but it is when you can see the hands of this gentleman conducting along that you have to stop and truly take notice of the power of this moment.

Taking the time to share some music and a chat with this man wasn't required of these men but what a difference it made! God bless these men. We sure hope this is a friendship that lasts.
