Crying Baby Can Only Be Soothed By One Strange Thing

There is nothing in the world that can bring quite as much joy as a newborn baby. But, as any parent knows newborn babies cry, a lot. It is their way of telling us that they need something.

Whether they are hungry, tired, dirty, or just need to be held they let out the most heart-wrenching cry. But, sometimes you just can't figure out what it is they need to get the crying to stop. And sometimes try as you might, that little baby just needs momma.

This sweet little baby boy is only 3-months-old so he is still super new to this world of ours. And his momma needed to run some errands so dad was on baby duty. While mom was out this little guy started to get fussy. That fuss quickly turned into a full-fledged cry. And dad gave all the usual things the try but nothing was working.

That's when he remembered a tip another dad friend has passed along. That other dad had grabbed one of his wife's dirty shirts out of the laundry hamper and gave it to his baby, and it immediately calmed the baby down.

The idea is that clothes that we've worn hold on to our smell. And when the baby smells the specific smell of their momma they are comforted and calmed. As his baby cried, this 3-month-old's dad remembered that advice from his friend.

So he figured he would give it a try. He grabbed a shirt of his wife's out of the hamper and handed it to his baby boy. And oh my stars just watch what happened.

Before this dad had even placed the shirt on his baby boy the baby craned his head to the smell of his momma.

Just look at this little man reach up and stretch for his momma's shirt. He sweetly clutches it and buries his face in the comforting smell.

It is so incredibly sweet that this worked! Just watch that happy little face. Who else just loved watching this happen?
