She Thought She Would Never See Her Son Again But He Returned After 44 Years

Diana Laney had to make a tough decision to put her son up for adoption. Just when she thought she would never see him again, her adopted son reunited with their family after forty-four long years.

Diana was 21-years old by the time she had her third child. Her husband left her, so she was doing all she could to take care of her children by herself. By the time she found out that she was pregnant, she knew what she had to do.

She was struggling so much to provide for her two older children, so having another baby was too much for her. She had to make a tough, but selfless decision to put her baby, Casey up for adoption. Thankfully, her baby was adopted into a loving family that took very good care of him.

She thought she would never see him again until years later. Diana had another child named Mimi. Mimi did not know that she had a brother who was adopted until she was 23-years-old. She was so curious to meet him, so she began to search for him. She made it a goal to find him regardless of how long it might take.

For 17 years, Mimi searched for her brother. She used several adoption forums to try and track him down. It was not until she ran his name pass someone on Facebook that she came across his adoptive sister, Mayra.

That connection changed everything! As soon as Mayra told Casey that she spoke to his biological sister, he was filled with so much hope, joy, and nervousness. He knew he would finally get answers to the questions he had his whole entire life.

The siblings arranged for Casey to come over for Thanksgiving dinner. He was so nervous to meet his siblings but was especially nervous to meet his mom. Diana was especially nervous because she did not want Casey to be mad at her for putting him up for adoption. But Casey understands and was thankful.

Love filled the room when Casey walked into his family's home. Everyone was waiting anxiously for this moment. Casey wrapped his arms around his mother and gave her a huge hug. All of the nervousness left when the two of them embraced each other. When Mimi saw him she just could not believe how much he looked like their mother. This family has a lot to look forward to now that their brother is finally them after 44 years.
