A Costco employee in California came across an envelope containing thousands of dollars while on the job, and what he did next shows he's a stand-up young man with tons of integrity.
Due to the presence of sin, the world is a sad, dangerous and lonely place. Thanks to television news broadcasts with stories of crime and violence, it can often seem that it's also full of people only concerned about themselves and their well-being. However, that's not the case at all. Good, kind and well-intentioned individuals still exist.

John Sotelo is an example of a good, kind and honest person in society. The young man is a Costco employee who works at a store in Clovis, California, according to KFSN-TV.
One day at work in late August, while putting away cases of water, something unusual happened to catch John's eye. On one of the pallets of water, John spotted an envelope.
The outlet reports that inside the envelope was nearly $ 4,000 in cash – $3,940 to be exact. But, apparently, John never even considered pocketing the large sum of money and keeping it himself.

Instead, the Costco employee displayed a massive amount of honesty and integrity when he immediately informed his manager about his pricey discovery. KSFN-TV reports that John and his manager, through an internal system and the store's surveillance cameras, were able to pinpoint the owner of the massive amount of cash.
John’s Honest Act Benefited The Woman and Her Children
Additionally, as it turned out, the owner of the envelope was still on site. She was eternally grateful for John's discovery and for his honesty.
“When my manager walked me outside, and the member was right there," John told WDRB News. "She was shaking my hand for a good 20 seconds."
As it turned out, the woman wasn't the only person who benefited from John's honest act. WDRB reports the nearly $4,000 in cash was for the woman to send her children back to school.
John showed a massive amount of honesty and integrity by returning the envelope full of money. His act likely saved that family from a world of hurt and worry. Returning the found cash likely kept them from wondering how they were going to financially support their children as they went back into the classroom.
