One of the biggest names in the world of entertainment, Adele, became overwhelmed with emotion when a fan – a widower – held up a photo of his late wife during one of her concerts.

Entertainers like singers, actors and dancers follow a script or a well-rehearsed pattern and plan to provide their fans with the best performance possible. At concerts, bands and musicians have a setlist, which they likely know like the back of their hand. They can move swiftly through it like the pros that they are. But while they are paid well and adored entertainers, they are still human beings capable of feeling pain, sadness and other emotions.

At one of her concerts during her Vegas residency, Adele got emotional on stage in front of her stadium full of screaming fans. While interacting with her fans, the "Rolling in the Deep" singer spotted something that caused her to shed a few tears, according to Inspire More.

During her shows, whenever she would reach her song "When We Were Young," Adele would make her way through the crowd. She'd give a handful of fans a one-in-a-lifetime experience as she would interact with them, according to The Independent.

Well, during one show, she went a little off-script. As she was making her way through the crowd, she spotted an older gentleman holding up a photo of his deceased wife on his phone.

Singer Adele Became Emotional As She Addressed The Crowd and The Widower

"And there was a man, he's just there," she said through tears. "Can you see him holding his phone up? I think that's his wife on his phone, and I don't think she's here, and it just really moved me. It looks like you're here on your own. And I'm just, I'm so, so sorry. I'm so sorry for your loss."

The Independent reports that, as Adele was singing "Someone Like You," she dedicated it to that widower who shared a photo of his late wife with her.

"This is for you, sir, who's showing me his wife on his phone," she said.

What a sad but beautiful and unexpected moment that likely meant the world to a man without his best friend and companion.
