God has blessed everyone with different skills, talents and abilities. Once those God-given gifts are discovered, having the confidence to use them, whether singing, writing or something else, is crucial. If someone believes they don't measure up or aren't any good, those skills will go unused.

Dani Kerr, a singer-songwriter from North Carolina, admitted she was nervous. She also appeared to be unsure about herself and her talent. She was clearly second-guessing her decision to audition for the show.

Simon’s Request For Dani Kerr

Seconds into her song, Simon raises his hand and stops her. She looks absolutely dejected, likely feeling she blew her opportunity. However, Simon mentioned that he could detect her nervousness and asked her to try it once more but with a different song.

Dani Kerr does as Simon requests and knocks it out of the park! She overcame her nerves, fears and lack of confidence to give an outstanding performance.

After a few seconds, following the completion of her audition, the studio audience rises to their feet and gives Dani a thunderous round of applause. She was overcome with emotion by the positive reaction. She brushes away tears from her eyes.

Dani can obviously write songs. But it's her voice that is so special and unique. It's fantastic. She sounds like a mixture of Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton, Stevie Nicks and Elle King.

In the end, Dani Kerr, the young woman from North Carolina, who lacked confidence in her outstanding voice, gets four yes votes from the judges.
