Animal Rescue Posts Heartbreaking Plea For Shelter Dog Losing Hope

shelter posts heartbreaking video of dog waiting for home

An animal rescue in South Florida posted a heartbreaking video of a cute, cuddly longtime resident seemingly giving up hope of adoption, but things quickly turned around for the dog.

Animals, like everyone else, want to be with someone who will care for and love them. Rescues and animal shelters across the country are filled with these kinds of animals. Those cute furry and four-legged creatures have so much love to give. They want nothing more than the opportunity to love and to be loved.

The Humane Society of Broward County in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, works to find their furry, four-legged residents permanent, forever homes. A video posted on the organization's Facebook page showed one of the humane society's residents, Bella.

The heartbreaking video shows the normally energetic, happy and upbeat canine giving up hope. The post indicates that the animal had been at the shelter for four months after her original owner had to give up the animal due to dog restrictions in their new home, according to PetHelpful.

The emotional video of Bella sadly looking out of her cage while sitting on the ground went up on The Humane Society of Broward County's Facebook page on Aug. 22.

@humanebroward Losing hope 💔 Beautiful Bella is usually one of our happiest, most social dogs, but after 4 months of waiting to be adopted, she's starting to shut-down 😔 Sadly, this 3-year-old was given up by her former owner because the landlord said NO to bulldog breeds 🥺 Now she's wondering if she will ever find another family 💔 Bella loves getting attention from us, and she is a staff and volunteer favorite ❤️ We're not sure why adopters have passed her by, because Bella is so fantastic! She loves children and is good with other dogs. Bella is hoping you'll give her a second chance at love 🙏❤️ Thanks to @JRDUNN JEWELERS , Bella's adoption fee has been sponsored ❤️ If you cannot adopt, please share for Bella 🙏 To adopt or foster Bella (A650497), please start by submitting an application online (link is in bio) and then stop by. After 4 Months, Bella Finds a Forever Home

The second video shows what appears to be a totally different dog. The clip begins with someone holding a red "Adopted" sign with Bella jumping excitedly at the camera.

As the video continues, Bella is led outside by someone who is likely to be her new owner. The clip then jumps to Bella being placed in the vehicle while she receives much-deserved petting and scratching on the head.

Bella appears more than happy to begin her new life in her forever home.
