God calls us all to something at some time in or lives. And sometimes we follow and sometimes we run away. This faithful little girl heard her call and answered in the best way. 7-year-old Rosalyn Baldwin has made it her goal to spread love and appreciation. This little girl is on a mission from God to hug police officers in all 50 states and there is no stopping her. What a special way to show gratitude!
Police officers have a very stressful job. They risk their lives to protect our communities without ever being sure if they will ever see their families again. Rosalyn recognizes that and has made it her duty to make sure police officers know that they are appreciated.
Aside from the fact that she has family members who serve in law enforcement, she was moved after hearing about the police officers who were killed in Dallas recently. It touched her so much and she knew that giving a simple hug will be her way of showing how thankful she is for their service. Her parents thought that she just wanted to hug them out of spur-of-the-moment emotion, but the more officers she visited, the more she wanted to hug.
With 25 more states to go, she is halfway through her ambitious goal! During school breaks and holidays, she travels to hug as many police officers as she can. Police officers from all over are hearing about her and they await the moment Rosalyn arrives to give them a great big hug.
Rosalyn is certain that God sent her on this mission. Police officers are certainly thankful for Rosalyn's hugs. She encourages everyone to find a way to show their appreciation to those in law enforcement. We have a lot to learn from the special little girl!
