A sweet display of love, kindness and support from fans brought actress Shannen Doherty to tears during a recent reunion with her Beverly Hills, 90210 castmates.
Cancer, no matter the fame or amount of money someone has, is always a scary and frightening diagnosis. Receiving that forbidden and alarming cancer diagnosis from a medical professional will immediately and forever change someone's life. From that point forward, that individual and that person's family are in a fight for survival.
Shannen, who is currently fighting stage 4 breast cancer, received a standing ovation near the end of a panel at 90s Con in Orlando, Florida, according to People.
Shannen and her fellow Beverly Hills, 90210 castmates, including Tori Spelling, Jason Priestly and Brian Austin Green, were discussing their popular show and answering fan questions when the unexpected show of support happened.
In addition to shedding tears, the actress mentioned she was extremely grateful for the love and support.

"Thank you so much," Shannen said. "You guys know how much I love crying constantly. And I do, it seems. So, thank you."
The standing ovation came after Shannen openly discussed her cancer battle.
"I have a fight for my life that I deal with every day," she said. "I think I am really great."
Back in June, Shannen announced on Instagram that her cancer had spread to her brain. She had undergone surgery in January to remove a tumor. The post shows Shannen in a hospital bed before going into surgery. In the caption, she wrote how the video showed that she was "clearly trying to be brave," adding that she is actually "petrified."
In 2020, the actress announced that her cancer had returned after previously stating that she was in remission in 2017. Also in 2020, the Beverly Hills, 90210 star told Good Morning America despite her diagnosis, life goes on.
“Our life doesn’t end the minute we get that diagnosis,” Shannen said.”We still have some living to do.”
Shannen has been open and honest about her cancer battle. She regularly posts updates on her Instagram page, detailing her fight against cancer.
Shannen and her family would likely appreciate all the prayers they can get as they continue to fight against that awful, horrible disease.
