However, while the Bible may be a thick book, everyone has a favorite verse they rely on or reflect upon during different circumstances and situations. For comedian Tim Hawkins, his favorite verse is Psalm 34:8: "O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusts in him."

Tim Hawkins’ Funny Story About The Wrong Psalm

Well, in a clip posted on YouTube, Tim recalls a time after one of his shows when he forgot the exact location of his favorite Bible verse. As Tim tells it, he was signing autographs after a show when one fan asked him to include his favorite verse from the Bible.

It didn't end well when Tim mistakenly included the wrong Psalm.

"But that night, I forgot the verse," Tim says. "I just blanked on it."

Instead of Psalm 34:8, Tim signed autographs for nearly a hundred people and included a different verse from the book of Psalms.

"So, I'm thinking, ‘Oh, it's Psalm something. I got to pick something,'" Tim said. "And I said, ‘I'll just have to make up a verse here.' So, I did. I picked Psalm 38, verse 7. I picked it out of thin air."

When Tim got home, he looked up that verse, Psalm 38:7, and realized his unfortunate but hilarious error.

"And to my horror, it says, ‘Lo, I have a painful disease in my loins,"' Tim said.

That verse, from Psalm, isn't likely to be a favorite verse of many.
