give God 100%

One young woman shared some powerful words from her father about how we should give God 100%. And this is wonderful advice for developing a deeper relationship with the Creator of the universe!

Daily life can be a stressful and chaotic experience. It's often full of activities to complete and things to mark off to-do lists. With so many obligations during the day, most people prefer to maximize their time. An entire term was created to describe this activity: multitasking.

However, as one Christian YouTuber states, multitasking should never ever describe the time spent alone with Jesus Christ. We should give God 100%. So, instead of typing out emails while driving the kids to soccer practice as the latest audiobook plays in the background, time should be set aside during the day to concentrate solely on Him.

Advice On How To Give God 100%

The woman's piece of advice came during a conversation she recently had with her father.

"And he was saying that you should not be bringing God into your tasks that you're doing throughout the day, like squeezing him in," she recalled.

While God should be a part of our day, all day, every day, He deserves more than that. She stated that Christians should not simply attempt to squeeze in their daily time with the Lord while in the shower, during the drive to work, or while fulfilling other tasks. We should make sure to give God 100%.

"I do think there's something to be said, and something very special about intentional quiet time with Him – all focused on Him to where your mind is not split between the tasks that you're doing and talking to Him," she said.

This challenge to slow down and dedicate a specific amount of time only praying to and concentrating on God might be a difficult ask for many. Most people today feel the rush and desire to get many things done at once. But taking a step back and having moments when Christ is the only focus will draw you closer to the Lord.
